Hi there. I'm Alex, a professional organizer from South Jersey.
I started my business in 2023 to help people move past endless clutter & overwhelm, making space for whatever brings joy instead. I work with individuals, families, and small businesses.
My work is informed by organizing techniques from top industry leaders, and a lifetime's worth of learning about maintaining your home - even when it feels impossible.
Looking forward to meeting you! In the meantime, here are 5 important things I'd like you to know...
1. My passion for organizing came from a period of being totally DISORGANIZED.
I've always loved the idea of being organized, but no matter how hard I tried I could never make it stick. Too busy, too tired, too overwhelming. Add kids and a job on top of that? OOF.
After a hectic corporate career led me to severe burnout, I was ready to make a big change.
Learning about the link between mental health & chronic disorganization helped me finally understand why this is so hard — especially for busy brains like mine.
I quickly learned three things:
Decluttering can be healing. (And fun!)
There's an art to organizing when you have ADHD.
My passion for this could help others.
Fast forward a year, a career change, and many happy clients later ... life looks pretty different.
Now my full-time job is helping people transform & organize their spaces, routines, and lives.
2. Perfection is not the goal.
A picture-perfect Instagram after photo isn't a realistic goal for most people. But a fresh, decluttered space with functional zones based on how you actually live? Now we're talking!
For me, organizing is all about improving function and quality of life — whatever that means for you.
It's also important to recognize how factors like ADHD, depression, chronic illness, disability, systemic injustice and other intersecting lenses impact life, health and the ability to stay organized.
That's why my approach meets people where they are, because everyone deserves a safe and stress-free space.
3. Organizing can be joyful!
When setting up any space — whether my home, desk or an elaborate picnic — I like to think about how we want to feel.
For me, that's usually an effort to move away from stress or shame, and towards joy and rest. Like capturing the feeling of a nice big exhale.
So, I start my projects asking "What's the vibe?" What makes you feel best? What can we add or remove to make this space more functional? More cozy? More affirming?
4. Well & Tidy is a proud queer business.
Every day, all the time. 🌈
